EmCare Physician Publishes Emergency Medicine Guide

Book Written as a Reference for Clinicians and Students

Sajid Khan, M.D. has published a new and comprehensive guide to emergency medicine. Dr. Khan is EmCare’s assistant medical director for the emergency department at Cartersville Medical Center in Cartersville, Ga. His book, “The Ultimate Emergency Medicine Guide,” was written in cooperation by several clinicians and provides a review of topics relevant to practicing physicians. Along with serving as a tool for practicing providers, it is also an up-to-date study guide for preparation for the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) examination, the annual inservice examination and the recertification examination.

“The Ultimate Emergency Medicine Guide” not only condenses an extraordinary amount of information into a compact resource, it provides figures and tables in full color, practice questions throughout each chapter, mnemonic devices to enable better recall of information and current content to enhance existing practices.

“The guide is designed to help physicians and medical students learn, retain and recall information,” said Dr. Khan. “I think it would be a tremendous asset in the hands of every emergency medicine clinician.”

This book is available through, where it currently boasts a perfect five-star rating. Previously, Dr. Khan co-authored “USMLE Medical Ethics 101,” a book that has been incorporated into the medical school curriculum at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has also had articles published in “EM Resident” and “Emergency Physicians Monthly” magazines.
