The 9-bed ER unit is a full service Emergency Department with an emphasis on Cardiac Patients located at the Northeast corner of the hospital on the first floor. It is equipped to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with emergent and urgent needs. All beds are equipped with hemodynamic monitors, which are connected to a central station for staff access. The Emergency Department works with other hospital departments to provide appropriate and timely diagnostic procedures to ensure the highest quality patient care. The Emergency Department evaluates patient care through evaluation of Performance Improvement Monitors and by ensuring that patients and families understand discharge instructions by their ability to verbalize or restate those instructions.
